Hi all,
We created a website for a client a few months ago as a result of them changing their company name. They got their original agency to put a redirect on their old domain to take visitors to the new company website, but in search results, even when I type in the actual name of the new company, the old domain name is showing in the results.
When I click the search result link, it takes me to the old domain name, but shows the new content. I was expecting this to eventually clear itself as the site got more and more indexed, but it hasn’t happened.
Do I need to perhaps add some htaccess code onto the site we host to stop that from happening?
