I have been asked by a cartoonist friend to build him a simple portfolio website.
He has supplied me with lots of assets including a ‘Switchgear style navigation menu’ that he wants me to use. Have a look at this link…
He wants the lever on the left to move when you hover over each menu item, and for it to make an electrical noise like a till register when you click.
It has left me baffled at the moment as there are lots of variants involved in creating this as to the best way to create it. I’m thinking along the lines of slicing up the image and creating different states of appearance.
Does this sound like the best approach to you or can you offer a simpler method?
Hi Dave had a family bereavement recently, so apologies for not coming back sooner. I will post a link later as I have nearly completed that project now.
still some bits to do on it, noticed that the handle sticks on HOME when you go to a new page and you have to mouse over to make it move, im sure that this is just a minor tweak?
