[Pro] Page Orientation and background

Hello and thank you for reading!

I am new to Freeway Pro (and web design in general) and I’m trying to redesign my website. I like that the existing page is centered on a gray background and I am having trouble achieving the same result. I have tried altering the ‘Window Background’ and ‘Page Background,’ both seem to do the same thing, which is to turn the white part of the page gray.

Also, the page is oriented left when I preview it on browsers (Chrome and Firefox). I would like it centered. I wish I could post screenshots in order to be more succinct, but I hope I explained the issues well enough.

Thanks again for reading if you made it this far!

Hello Erica,

this is just centering a page against a grey background, yes?

I assume you haven’t downloaded this yet, so here the link for your convenience:
http://download.softpress.com/downloads/Using_Freeway_2013.pdf

  • So … you have currently a blanc page.
  • Select (and so work within) the masterpage, this way every page will be alike
  • Give it a gray background by selecting a grey colour at the Inspector Palette / Page’s Appearance Settings / Window Background. That way, even you when enlarge the browser window beyond the page dimensions, still result in a grey background for the complete window.
  • Center the page by selecting ‘Center’ at the Inspector Palette / General Page Settings / Measurements / Align /
  • That’s it

“You wished you could post” … does that mean you can’t for any particular reason? It makes our ‘job’ helping you out a lot easier. Command+Shift+3 makes a screenshot, uploading the image to a webserver makes it viewable for us

Best regards, Richard
