[Pro] Page shadow vanishes on iPad in Landscape orientation

I must admit that I haven’t viewed my company websites on my iPad 3 in a few months, so I don’t recall under iOS 6 if this problem existed. But now that I’m running the latest version of iOS 7, I’m finding this problem to appear in Safari and other browsers like Mercury.

The problem is that when I view the website in landscape orientation, the page shadow does not display. But when I rotate to portrait orientation, then the page shadow appears. You can view it on your own iOS device at the following URL:

Note that on the iPad, the page will fill the width of your screen in either orientation, so you won’t see the page shadow on the left or right, but you should be able to see the page shadow at the very bottom.

Is this a bug in the version of WebKit for iOS 7? Or is it possibly something wrong in the code on my webpages?

Thank you.

You have your mobile viewport width set to 950. Is that large enough to hold the shadow with room to spare on the sides?

I’m not worried about viewing the shadow on the left and right sides of the page in iOS because in iOS browsers most webpages expand to the fit the content to the width of the screen itself. But that affects the width only, and not the page height. When my iPad is in portrait orientation, I know that the shadow appears because I can scroll to the very bottom of the page and see it there.

So again, my opening question has nothing at all to do with the visibility of the page shadow on the left and right sides of the page. I’m only asking why the page shadow does not display AT ALL in landscape view whereas as it does display in portrait view. And again, I know when it displays and when it doesn’t, simply by scrolling to the bottom of the page.
