[Pro] Password protected pages

Hi, I am very new to Freeway so am at a very basic level. I have a friend who has asked if I can create their website for them, which I think I can, but they have asked to have ‘Password Protected’ areas on the site (Example: http://www.everybodysmile.biz/martinayleyphotography/viewweddings.html). Is this possible in Freeway Pro? If not, is there an alternate solution that you could help me with.
I would really appreciate any help with this. – James.

There are a couple of ways that you can tackle this James - one within FW and one utilising the facilities of your Hosting plan.

The more secure of this uses Cpanel on the server (provided by most decent hosting providers) to set up Password Protected Directories. In short a viewer has to provide a username and password to gain access to a folder where the html page would be placed. See http://deltadzine.net/cpanel.html for a look at what this section of Cpanel looks like.

An alternative is an action by Tim Plumb that uses PHP to disguise the location of a web page (or web folder) which is accessed by entering its name as a password. Have a look at this thread for the whole story.

Thanks or this David.

I have emailed a couple of questions to Tim Plumb about this and have downloaded the action so hopefully this will solve the problem for me.

Thanks for your time.
