[Pro] Paypal button not working where it should

Can someone please explain, in simple terms, why a PP button created with paypal code works on a blank test page of my FW site (not live yet) but will not work on the actual page i require it to work on. On the blank page it goes immediately to the PP finish transaction page but on the actual page i want it to work on it does nothing but add extra characters to the url

I’m new to FW and find it really pleasant to use but am perplexed by why this button (buy now) won’t work where it’s supposed to

Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks Jef

Have you applied the Simple Site Search Action to your trouble page? Any other forms on that same page? A link would help us diagnose…

Hi Walter

in answer to your query, NO search action on page, but i do have a series of field forms for name; address; email etc on the page in question. These field forms don’t appear on the test page i created (where the button works).

Perhaps i should remove these fields as the details of where to send the goods and to who would be available on the paypal transaction page - am i correct in that assumption?

Thanks
Jef

The Paypal Action cannot co-exist with another form on the same page, unless you apply the Multiple Forms Action suite to the page and the other form. This is because one form may not contain another form, and unless you use the MFA, the automatically-generated form for the page wraps around the outside of the #PageDiv element, which is outside of the bounds of the editable page.
