This one should be easy, though I’ve had a look through the boards and haven’t quite nailed down an answer to this.
I’m setting up a site for a client. The site will include a small shop for selling magazine subscriptions. I was all set to use Mal’s plus PayPal for this, and then my client mentioned that he thought PayPal already had an integrated shopping cart. I checked PayPal and — lo and behold — it does appear to have shopping cart functionality.
So my question is, what is the difference between a Mal’s shopping cart and a PayPal one, and, if I have to use PayPal anyway, why would I choose to use Mal’s as well? Thanks!
Because Mal’s is a Cart company and PayPal is a payment processing company that has some cart features.
This is a subjective choice but if PP has what you need to do this then why not! Just be sure that PP will meet your future needs for this client without having to add Mal’s at a later date.
Thanks, David. I’m pretty much leaning towards using Mal’s, but wanted to get input from some experienced users to confirm my suspicions. I think in the long run, Mal’s is probably the way to go.
