I have a contact from that uses the PHP feedback form action perfectly and without problems.
I have it direct to a thank you page when complete and an error page IF they leave something blank.
Problem is…
I duplicated all this to make another type of form, but this 2nd one is much simpler.
Just a place to fill in name (like 1st one) and Yes and No radio buttons.
My problem is, if they leave the name BLANK or do not hit radio button, the success page still shows, I am not sure how I made the first contact form work so well so that if they left something blank and error occurred.
In my original contact form the name and message is NOT REALLY REQUIRED. I just told the visitor it was. The only thing that will get the error page to appear is if they leave out their email address.
This stinks.
I wonder if I can pretend the name field IS the email address to trick it?
Check to make sure that the Name field is named (in the third tab of the inspector) name. That’s in the Name field on the third tab from the left when the name field is selected in Freeway (handles showing). It has to be name, it has to be lower-case, and then I believe it becomes required.

no, that did not work.
The email box had to be in the special form for an email address.
You are also going to have to make your Radio buttons into a Cluster
They need to have the same value under the 3rd Tab in the inspector in the Name field in order to work correctly.
ie only one of a pair should be selectable - at the moment you can choose both of yours.
Yours are called ‘YES my first time’ and ‘NOT my first time’ they should probably be called ‘First Time’ with Values of Yes and No whereas yours have Values of value=“item32” and value=“item 35”
The name of the field cannot contain anything other than lower-case a-z letters or the underscore for the first character, and a-z, 0-9, or _ for all following letters. No spaces, or punctuation except the underscore.

I forgot to mention – the Label (visible to the user) is not sent along with the form, and can contain anything you like. For the Name of the form, it is vitally important that you follow the rules of form building if you want it to work at all.

Remember that the Name part is what is sent to you alongside the Value ie
First_Time: Yes
And is not visible to the person filling it in. So there isn’t any reason to have a ? as you will know what it means anyway.
i tried it and it only worked on the name field. It worked perfectly though. However I thought "why do I need another action running? who is going to NOT put their name? "
the 3 kids that used it already all put their names and I am sure that 100% of all serious users will not miss that first prompt
they can always put a fake word or name so that is why it really doesn’t stop people, to me it is more about if they skip something and i do not think they will here.
