[Pro] PHP Feedback Form Recipients List + Validate

Hi Jonathan,
The recipient’s list Action piggy-backs on the main PHP Feedback Form one. If you define a recipient email in the main Action it will get overwritten by a value set in the recipient’s list Action. The resulting email will go to the value set in the recipient’s list menu item not both addresses. You should be able to populate the recipient’s list with multiple values (email@hidden,email@hidden for example) and have the email go to both addresses if the user choses that option in the menu.
Regards,
Tim.

However, I can’t seem to get multiple email addresses to work in the recipient by separating with a comma in the Value field, and secondly, am I right in thinking that because I have the PHP Feedback Form applied to my table containing the fields, I still need to enter a master email recipient in the actual PHP Feedback Form palette, meaning two places get notification that the enquiry has been made - the first to match the drop-down menu choice, the second notifying an enquiry has been made.

Hi Tim,

OK I will give that a bash. Is it usual though, that the download of the action is an older date than when the site states it was updated? Just need to make sure I have the latest version of the action.

Thanks for responding.

Hi,

I have just tried this again and it is only sending an email to the recipient I have set up in the main Action window - nothing is coming to the email I have set up for each drop-down in the recipients action.

When I look at the generated php file associated with the PHP Feedback action, it only shows the email address I have set up in the main action - I can’t see anything relating to that drop down.

I have the PHP Feedback action applied to a form rather than the page. Could that be the problem?

You should go by the version number rather than the date. The date reported in ActionsForge is the date that the developer got around to uploading to ActionsForge. In my case, that’s usually simultaneous with writing or updating the Action, but not everyone is so devoted to the 'Forge.

Speaking of which, I would sincerely appreciate your support to help build a next-generation ActionsForge. More information here (and a thermometer graph to show progress): http://actionsforge.com/next

Just checking the action download of PHP Feedback Form Recipients, and when unzipped it has the date of 08 May 2012 but it states on actionsforge as being updated September 2012. Is the link downloading the latest action?

Hi Walter,

The version number installed in my version of Freeway is being stated as 2.3.2. When I downloaded and installed the action, it told me I was about to overwite an older action - which I allowed it to do. But it appears the latest version should be 2.4.4.

I just tried again, and applied the action to a blank page and it still shows as 2.3.2

Already tended my support a few weeks ago.

Hi Jonathan,
I just tried this with a fresh copy of the Action downloaded from ActionsForge as well as FreewayActions.com and they are both showing up as version 2.4.4 (the latest version).
I may be worth removing the Action from you Actions folder publishing your document (the Action should be listed in the Edit > actions dialog in bold to show that it is embedded in the Freeway file) then install the new copy of the Action.
Regards,
Tim.

Hi Tim,

In the end I just dragged the old Action out of the folder on the Mac in Library/Application Support because nothing else worked. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but even though I got the message that an old action was about to be replaced - it doesn’t seem to actually happen.

All working now though, so thanks.
