I am using this action on my Form, which i have configured to use One page for all Errors… i have then started to use the Validate From Suite and have tried to configure this initially to detect an invalid email address, although i know i can use the PHP Feedback Form Error checking to do the same. It appears that whatever i try and do the PHP Error page comes up and i am not sure why, is there any documentation on what actual error checking the PHP Feedback form is doing please?
Hi John,
If you switch the Action to use three error pages rather than just the one you’ll get an insight into what the error could be. The possible errors are;
Not in domain - someone tried to post to the script from outside of your site. Possibly a spammer.
Server failure - the server reported an error when it was asked to send the email.
Invalid email address - if the form contains a field called email AND the script suspects the email isn’t correct then the user will be redirected to this page.
Sometimes the email address validation (option 3 above) can trip up on odd but still valid email addresses although the code has been updated enough now that it should be pretty solid at sniffing out good and bogus emails.
Regards,
Tim.
