[Pro] Presenting Website Photos?

I’ve fallen into a design rut and I need some inspirations. Are there any unique ways to present individual photos on a website, perhaps using CSS?

I’ve seen a lot of people using the raised paper effect, which is a possibility, but I was hoping to try something new. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

In part that depends on the subject matter of the photographs. Are they family snapshots, fashion, advertising, editorial, etc… And in what context do you imagine them to reside, formal, informal or even whacky funky, etc…

These are new home builder images. Many are home shots, which will be placed in a Showcase slideshow, but others are just single supporting images. Lately, and for whatever reason, I’ve been stuck on using either a Polaroid style photo frames, glows, or everyone’s favorites, simple drop shadows.

I need to break out of that rut and do something different.
