[Pro] Problem with the output in different browsers.

Hi. I recently uploaded my site only to find that on internet explorer and google chrome, the writing appears all over the place. Any ideas on how to solve this. Thank you in advance.

Can you post a link to your site Shaun.

This is usually caused by different browsers displaying text at different sizes.

Larger text sizes can cause layered HTML text boxes to grow and overlap.

To simulate this visit your site using Safari - under the View Menu, enable ‘Zoom Text Only’.

Then Apple+ a couple of times to increase the text size.

Does your layout fall apart?

If so then there are various things that you can do.

1 - Allow a bit of wriggle room for those text boxes to grow - you also have to remember that not everyone can read as well as you and may want to increase the text size to make it more readable.

2 - Set your font sizes in px rather than relative (small, medium) or % sizes.

3 - Use FW’s RPL action OR

There are others too.

David

4 - Build an inline (box model site)

I can only see one page and have no clue as to whether the text is in the correct place or not.

Can you elaborate.
