[Pro] problems with layout in browsers

for some when i view my site in a browser, different text elements appear in different places then I had them in freeway. When I adjust them to work in Firefox, it looks different in Safari. Could anyone help me with this?

Also I am wondering why my site is not coming up when I search for it in google.

Thanks

The first part of your question I’ll leave for the experts.

For the second part I have a question back to you. How long is your website live and what have you done for Google so it can find and spider your website? If you have questions or need help with this, please read my article about SEO in Freeway Pro http://www.dtp2.nl/freeway-pro-seo.html Maybe this can help you a bit.

Can you post a link to your site and tell us what differences you are seeing and in which browsers.

One of the first things you should do is use the feature in Safari which comes under the View menu - Zoom Text Only

Enable this and then increase your text size a couple of notches (apple+). How did you set the the size of your text in FW - did you use a px size, a percentage size (75%) or a relative size (small, medium, large) you will get best browser consistency with a px size.

If you get overlapping text boxes when you increase the text size this is because your text boxes are layered items that will expand on top of one another at different text sizes. Different browsers on different platforms may display text at different sizes.

Also individual browser users settings may vary - I have Safari set not to display text below a size of 10 but others who may not have great vision may set this at a greater figure.

But post a link so that we can see for ourselves - you will get a more informed response that way.
