Hi chaps … I have a site which I could adapt for a new client, can someone tell me the best way to duplicate it so that I can replace all the ‘resources’ with relevant ones for the new site without risking screwing up the existing one … do I just dupe the folder ?

There are basically two methods coming me in mind:
####1. Duplicate
By doing this, make sure to double check the root to the site-folder in the document-settings. This IS OUTERMOST important! that it is connected to your duplicated one. Furthermore adjust the upload-settings (or delete them for a while)
####2. Saving the file as template
This is to me super smart. By doing so, you’d start from scratch by using the “new” dialogue, but selecting this saved template. Worth doing if styles, colors and framework are excellent set (no mess in there). Furthermore (as far as I know), upload settings are empty (and naturally site-folder is connected correctly).

Or File>Save Archive and then open the Archive file and change its name to that of the new client.

Thanks Thomas, yes the template looks pretty elegant, and Dave I’ll maybe try the ‘archive’ option as well. Good of you both to take the time as you maybe saved me messing up ! Roger
