[Pro] Remote Resources action

Hi

Can someone tell me how the Remote Resources action should work?

Should it automatically change the URLs in the code to the server links?

I don’t think it’s working right for me. I’ve activated it, keyed the correct URL to image links, published the site, uploaded the freeway created HTML file.

But viewing the source code of the file (through the browser, images are still linking to a root folder and not the url where the images are.

So when coming to use the HTML file in a mail program, i am having to change the url’s manually.

I’m using Freeway Pro 5.4.1.

Thanks

Hi Mark,
Can you tell me where I can see an HTML page that you’ve created using
the action please?
Alternatively feel free to send me a copy of your FW file and I’ll
take a closer look.
Thanks,
Tim.

Think I’ve found the issue. My Doc setup was including images with HTML files rather than separate Resource folders.

Does the remote link always have to include the resources folder?

Can I just point it at a URL but not have the ‘Resources’ folder tagged on the end of the URL?

Thanks

Hi Mark,
Currently not I’m sorry to say. The action looks for the word
‘resources’ in the url as a hook to locate the links for modification.
Regards,
Tim.
