[Pro] Reopen an old web site. HELP HELP HELP

HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP
Is there any way to reopen a web site that I no longer have the freeway files for? The files that I do have are the ones that I could get using Fetch from my server, I did have the foresight to save the site there. But those are not freeway files.

Thank you DeltaDave. I need a little more help as in do I try to open the html pages that I have saved in my folder for that sit, or should I select the file sources and copy/paste them into a document that I can access later in freeway?

Hi Gunner … fact is that importing the html doesn’t work at all. Yes, you get something done, but it’s mostly broken, incomplete and has an unpredictable result. Don’t get me started on the CSS.

I’m curious what site it is that you need to work on … can we take a look somewhere? Perhaps rebuilding it is not such a bad thing after all?

You are probably right about rebuilding it.

You’ll be fine … rebuilt this, it’s no more than a day work. Download the complete site incl. resources and start rebuilding it. Just use the images pass-through to maintain the current quality.

And did you read the related article

But to be honest this shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours to rebuild - bigger and better (if that).
