I’m trying to set up a slideshow that is responsive, in that it either scales or is hidden at different window widths. I’m using Carousel 2, but as soon as I apply this action to something it stops being responsive and displays at all sizes, regardless of the Display settings.
Quick fix: is there an alternative someone knows of for putting a basic slideshow (scrolling, fading, whatever) into a page and being responsive to widths? By scaling, changing what’s displayed, or some other trick?
Longer-term: will Carousel (original or 2) be tweaked to play nicely with responsive layouts, or is this a deep ‘n’ difficult fix?
Thanks Neil. It looks good… apart from the $69 to remove the WOWslider.com branding. I don’t resent those guys making money, but it’s not suitable for this project – and nor is a third-party brand badge. :-/
I can appreciate your comment, its not a small purchase.
Its been a while since I’ve used Softpress’s Exhibeo, but the last time I checked the general slider wasn’t responsive. Someone else may be able to chime in though. It’s been ages since I used it, and since FW7 is now fully responsive I’d be surprised if the general slider in Exhibeo still isn’t.
Thanks for the nudge! It looks like it is pretty responsive now, although I need to dig up my registration details. (I’ve moved to a new Mac and that always leaves a few loose ends to deal with.)
