Simple copy paste and the rollover picks up an unpleasant bkground. I’ve checked every element and none have a background, I tried turning off the children/combine graphics thing. It’s the top item. It works fine on other pages. I just don’t understand. Can anyone elucidate me? I took it off so my client wouldn’t see it. http://oilsofalohavendor.com/
It’s the email button on the upper right, I pasted it from the index page, I just can’t figure out why I can’t get rid of that bkgrd, it should look just like the one on the homepage, I’m so frustrated. Why would it have a bkgrd? Each individual component the fill is none. I’ve done it over 10X! and can’t make it work…
I have put this image on a grey background so that you can see it better
This looks like it has picked up the antialias settings from the page you copied it from - where of course it sat on a plain background - not partly over your ‘swoosh’.
You could of course just move it over a bit?
Might be worth removing the shadow, publishing and then reapply the shadow.
Yes, set to png. Graphic is saved out of PS with the drop shadow on a transparent bkgrd., I couldn’t get the freeway ds option to work. I’m baffled as to where to look for my error. I’ll try rebuilding it from scratch right on the page, grrrr…
No way!!! I’ve reset it 20X in the FRWY inspector, png w/trans out of PH. Now it even worse! It’s filing the transparency with my blue. I tried it with AA on and off. It’s making me crazy. I took it all apart and rebuilt it, it looks fine on the frwy. page. I even quit frwy to see if that would help…exasperated.
I have no logic to figure out why this SOB is doing this, can someone help me out. Why can’t my ROs stay transparent?
I’ve tried so many setting I’m dizzy…
I figured out a fix for this problem although I ended up with something I don’t really want. I rebuilt the ro on the pasteboard, copy/paste to the paste board of the other pages where I want it to appear, then drag to the location. I really wanted that ro to cross the graphic arch like the other graphic elements on the page but it loses transparency. I guess I’m not really understanding the purpose of css. I thought it was supposed to provide transparent layers. Why does it stay transparent on white or the solid blue? Is it because there are two colors in that graphic arch? I’d really appreciate a method of accomplishing this it any one knows how. Mahalo in advance.
LA - if you want to cut your FW doc down to just 1 page - do a file>save as (give it an appropriate name) and then do a File>Save Archive which will result in a folder.
Zip that folder in the Finder (Right Click Compress ‘whatever’) and email it to me I will have a look for you.
There must be something quirky about your construction.
