[Pro] Rollovers in 6.0

Been doing rollovers for some time now… doing them the exact same way. I have 2 graphic items - I select them, I align them, I group them, I lock them, I apply the rollover action to the grouped item.

This time, when I get to the group part one of them moves down when I group it. I tried to apply the action anyway and see what it would do, but it only shows me the the group name in the action window… not each graphic item so that I can select which to mouseover or click, etc…

An online example might help us figure out where you are going wrong. Are they layered items?

What do you think of this… I have been working all vacation to try and reduce the size of my pages to load better.

On most pages are 24 navigation icons which are very important to the site. Each icon is really 2 because they have rollovers.

The size of each combined is about 8000 bytes (8kb).

24 x 8 = 192 kb for icons on each page that has the icons.

is there a way I could still have some effect when people mouse over but the size of it will be down drastically from 8kb?

Should I start to use CSS rollover or css3 rollover? will that be less and load better?

I changed my navigation menu at the top after 2 years to css menu this week.

Anyone know the rollover action that would have each of my icons be black and white and when they mouse over they would turn to their original color state?
