[Pro] Rotated graphic positioned incorrectly

FW 5.4.1. Should have figured this out this sooner. But it’s hot here, my brains are fried.

Trying to use a rotated graphic item containing text to reproduce the layout seen at http://bartwalter.com/index.html. The rotated graphic will be reused on every page, with somewhat different text. So I really need to be able to do this raw in FW.

When I set it up as I expect to, FW 5.4.1 outputs code that places the JPEG way off the page. STYLE=“position:absolute; left:-259px; top:275px; width:614px; height:80px; z-index:5”

Whereas, according to the positioning on my FW page, the div should be at 8 and 8 pixels. Blah. Obviously FW is reading the position of the item as originally created.

I created an item 614 wide and 80 tall. Put text in it, styled the text, rotated and repositioned the item. Looks nice in FW but broken on output. (Took me forever to figure out why my rollovers weren’t working. Because the trigger item was off the page, duh.)

Any advice greatly appreciated. Or do I need to bug tech support?

Freeway gets the position of things slightly confused when they’re
rotated. Yes, nag tech support, although be aware that this is
probably a known issue… and that there is, as far as I’m aware, no
solution. Other than grouping the rotated item inside a non-rotated
container - I think that sorts it out, although it can introduce
other issues.

Hmmm, a euphemism if I ever heard one. Well, perhaps I’m glad to know it’s not just me. I will beg tech support for a fix. Thank you, Keith.
