I have to RSS my home page, where my article updates are summarized. So I only need a page link on www.smilingresults.com
The enabled RRS feed refers to “index” but Safari cannot open the page and says: “Too many redirects occurred trying to open “feed://www.smilingresults.com/index.html”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page.”
? It provides step by steps on how to create and link to an RSS
feed. As it stands you just have an RSS link to the current page
(index.html) which isn’t a valid feed, it’s a regular webpage.
I hope this helps.

Thanks, Joe. The action doesn’t work with Internet Explorer 6 that still has a significant market share and RSS feed on Firefox with the Freeway action doens’t seem to be straightforward. So I was dreaming that a RSS page link would work. It doesn’t. Of course I lack RSS feeds basics.
So I have to look for another solution without using a Freeway action. Any suggestion here?
RSS feeds are unsupported in IE6 regardless of how they’re made, and
aside from that, the browser/reader you view the feed on should be
unrelated.
The RSS Page Link needs to link to a valid RSS Feed to work, it just
places an RSS icon in the address bar in supported browsers that will
open up the feed you selected in the Actions palette, nothing else.
You can also create a standard link to the feed that can be placed
anywhere on your page.

OK Joe. I did what you recommended. The result I get on preview is a continuous text starting with this: “Latest news on efficiency New tip of the week and last published article http://www.smilingresults.com/ en Wed, 08 Jul 2009 19:09:51” etc. After upload, I don’t see anything on the address bar.
I have checked all items and it seems to me that I followed the instructions on the knowledge base. Any idea of what is wrong?
You now need to apply the RSS Page Link to the index page and choose
the new RSS Feed page (feed.xml) from the Action palette.
