[Pro] Safari 7.0.2 and PDFs?

I’m having a problem with Safari 7.0.2 and its ability to save PDFs. Frequently, when I save a PDF using Export PDF I get the following error message:

Acrobat could not open ‘R-intro.pdf’ because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn’t correctly decoded).

To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then choose Save as Adobe PDF from the PDF dropdown in the Print dialog.

I comply with the error message and I get the same results and error message. The only solution I’ve found is to use Chrome or some other browser to download the PDF.

Has anyone else has this problem and if so, what’s the solution.

I’ve found all sorts of issues with Adobe’s PDF stuff, and simply delete the plug-in from the Library/Internet Plug-ins folder on a fairly routine basis. The built-in Apple PDF implementation (part of the operating system itself) is very compatible with most things.

Walter, what’s your browser of choice these days?

Safari, but I also test in Firefox and Chrome. I’m running Mac OS 10.7.5 on my main machine (Safari 6.1.2), and 10.9.latest (Safari 7.0.2) on my laptop.
