[Pro] same old question.. (underline HTML link)

HI,

Sorry, I cannot for the life of me remember how to do this nor can I find an exact answer in the forum.

All I want to do is remove the UNDERLine from a hyperlinked HTML word.

The word is by itself (not in a run of other text).

My challenge is that I need to remove the underline and maybe change it to a color upon rollover, but only for this item and not make a change for every hyperlink on the page. I think I know how to do it for all links on a page, but not for 1 or 2 single items separately.

Can this be done?
I am trying to stay away from graphic text.

Thanks for any directions.

Barry,

Click on the HTML box (not the words) go to the inspector, under the check mark - go to links - click on the button to the right of (none) so its gray not white.

hope that helps

anyone have any idea why when I change the color of the HOVER, it does not change when I hover over using the method above?

Thanks,

Barry

Ok, I have this text which is silver and is Verdana HTML text.

I read to get it to change color on hover, I should get rid of all styles with the text.

I did that and it turned the text to blue and then DID change yellow upon hover.

However, as soon as I changed it back to silver it would not hover yelow.

How can I get just this ONE HTML link on the page to be silver in color then yellow upon hover?

Thanks,

Barry

Ok, got it again.

I remembered I cannot preview it in safari browser: it always looks purple. Checked it in Chrome and all worked.

Thanks,

How does all this change if…

the hyperlinked HTML text is in a html box with OTHER text that is NOT hyperlinked?
When the text to be hyperlinked was the entire text in the HTML box I got it, but now I have a sentence, and only want 1 word to be hyperlinked and use the color ,rollover, etc, but does not seem to be so easy.

Thanks!

i got it but by accident.

I hi-lited the little text in the paragraph
then went to EDIT, hyperlink and changed target to BLANK

this worked, not sure why or if this is what was needed.
