[Pro] Scriptlightbox won't work

I have been trying to use this action on a page for the first time in a while, but it won’t work. Instead the linked file opens on a new page. Anyone else having the same problems. The funny thing is pages on an older site using the same action are still working grand.

Can you post a link to your example online - it sounds like some of the javascript files are missing.

And just clarify that you are using FW to upload.

Yes. Thought it would be a java script thing.

And what is SLB attached to?

Nothing on this site at the moment. Cause I couldn’t get it to work I came up with the work around cause I needed to get the site updated.

However have a look here. Same issue.

A light box of the posters is supposed to open when you click on the thumbs

And on that page what have you attached the action to as there is no javascript code being included with the page.

I would first check that you have the latest version 0.4.2?

If not then get the latest from actionsforge.com

Remove all instances of the action and publish the page/site (dont need to upload)

Reapply, checking the version#

Publish and test

Thanks, but where can I check this. You can’t get into the library like you used to check with the latest OS

where can I check this

If you mean the version number - it is displayed in the bottom right hand corner of the action palette.

I have been using SL2. No mater. I have installed the latest version of SL and applied to one of the posters, but when I go to link it up I only get offered a size option. Surely there must be an option to link to something to open up like in SL2

If you have been using ScriptyLightbox2 then stick with it. It is a different action to ScriptyLightbox.

ScriptyLightbox2 is at v 0.8

Your OP said ScriptyLightbox - so I assumed that is what you were using.

I don’t care what version I use I just need it to work and nether version is working at the moment.

Out of interest how do I make SL work? How do I link it to an image that will open?

I don’t care what version I use

As I said - these are different actions. SLB2 is not a newer version of SLB - they do different things!

Read their relevant pages at actionsforge.com to help you decide which one best suits your needs and for instructions.

I had done this before I resorted to asking for help on this forum.

If it is not going to work, I will just have to continue to use my workaround of opening the images on new pages rather than this more elegant way.

I appreciate your time on this.

Thanks again.

Start with a blank page with nothing else on it - no other actions.

Add an image, apply the action to it (whichever you choose)

Set the parameters in the action palette (bigger image if SLB2) and test.

If it doesn’t work in a blank page then send your file to support(at)softpress.com
