I think your question should actually be - How do I keep my footer always at the bottom of the viewport no matter the height?
A perennial problem.
Search using those terms for many differing solutions some of which may involve javascript.
There is no one correct answer.

While this is used to discuss as a “technical” problem, I’m preferably on an entire different approach these days.
It’s an approach which is an unwanted one - especially for this audience.
The approach is content!
In your case it’s somehow simple:
The “home” page as is, is useless. It says (nearby) nothing - it’s not informational nor is it a real teaser animating for a “read more …” approach. To get more infos, you’ve got to click another page, here:
“Welcome”.
So I’m not welcome on your home page?
Put them both together!
The effect:
You’ve got enough information to deal with and hereby a footer is what it is: a footer cause it is “rounding off” a bunch of useful and easy to navigate entry page. And google even has some infos to deal with.
Think about it for a little while.
