[Pro] Scrolling only to bottom of footer

How do you get pages to not scroll beyond the footer of webpages?

Thanks

I think your question should actually be - How do I keep my footer always at the bottom of the viewport no matter the height?

A perennial problem.

Search using those terms for many differing solutions some of which may involve javascript.

There is no one correct answer.

While this is used to discuss as a “technical” problem, I’m preferably on an entire different approach these days.

It’s an approach which is an unwanted one - especially for this audience.

The approach is content!

In your case it’s somehow simple:

The “home” page as is, is useless. It says (nearby) nothing - it’s not informational nor is it a real teaser animating for a “read more …” approach. To get more infos, you’ve got to click another page, here:

“Welcome”.

So I’m not welcome on your home page?

Put them both together!

The effect:

You’ve got enough information to deal with and hereby a footer is what it is: a footer cause it is “rounding off” a bunch of useful and easy to navigate entry page. And google even has some infos to deal with.

Think about it for a little while.

Cheers

Thomas
