[Pro] Secure Download Page and PayPal

We have a client selling a Kindle version of their book and they want to do it from their web site.

I’ve set it all up using PayPal for purchase and a download page (created in Freeway) to get the file, but it occurred to me that the the page I created with the download could be accessed by anyone that knows the name of the page.

Basically, after the person has paid, they are sent to the download page (which I created) and they download their .mobi file.

But, once people know the name of the download page, then anyone can just go to that page and download the file for free.

Is there a way around this?

That looks good. Seems easy to implement.

Right now we only have one client with one digital download, so it’s not really worth the purchase. But, I’ll keep it in mind for the future.

I’ve only seen other purchasable solutions, so I guess there’s no easier free way of doing this.

Thats arguable - is it not only $29.95?

How does that compare to the cost of his ebook and lost revenue due to pirated copies.

Dave, this looks interesting. Is it easy to apply to my Freeway site? I think it will work great while our back end build out is happening… maybe I won’t need to pay for this with them?
