[Pro] SHOP+CMS - Mals+ WebYep?

I have in planning an shopping site for lamps imported from India. In Freeway 7/responsive (once I get my head round it!)

They are mostly hand crafted glass/mosaic one-offs or limited in number/limited editions. No, or very limited, options for color or size. Sales are likely to be low.

I would like the client to be able to remove sold items. And if possible add new ones himself. He already has a site for his furniture which uses WebYep so I would not wish to send him up another learning curve without good reason.

For the shop I am looking at Mals. How well will this play with WebYep ?

I am open to suggestions for other shop software - I am familiar with and employed Ecwid. However I doubt if the client is willing to pay monthly for a shop unless the sales take off- which I think is unlikely.

The shop and the CMS need to be simple - (both for me and the client).

Best wishes Richard

Tracking back through through Freeway Talk I have found, I hope, in Max’s WebYep documentation, the answer. In a WebYep Loop.

Has anyone implemented a site using this method? Any links to such a site ?

Best wishes R

Not a shop site as such, but I have used a WY loop in this site

The client adds image and text for new films and deletes those that have been on. It works very well, and even somebody like me can set it up.

Thanks Noel. A WY loop is something I am familiar with - but it can contain Mals shopping buttons etc so the client can add and subtract or otherwise edit the items for sale?
Looking at Max Fancourt’s’s WebYep documentation yesterday the answer would seem to be yes but as yet I have not tested it out. I just wonder if anyone else has

Best wishes Richard

Richard,

This site was created using WebYep and Mals… I Need Web Hosting Mac friendly web hosting and domain registration

There’s some extra stuff going on as values are passed from a list view (loop) to a buy page before the values are sent through to Mals.
