[Pro] Shopping Cart

Hi

I know this is a daft question, but how easy/hard would it be to make a ‘shopping cart’ - see Waitrose link - with Mal’s Shopping Cart, plus the actions in FW . It’s got to go into http://www.webstersdoggiedelights.co.uk - I need inspiration

Regards

Lee

I think the number of articles and the way the products are presented is way too much for to deal with Mal’s (if the example is the reference).

So what you could do is to set up one article, clock this process, duplicate it and adjust, clock again and you’ll find out how long it’ll take you to set the store up.

If you ask me, I’d tend to use something like a shop-system which works as independent module off Freeway. So maintaing will be “backend work” rather then fiddle with products within Freeway.

Honestly I can’t really recommend a product cause I’m not aware of your plans (money you’d like to spend e.g.)

Cheers

Thomas

Hi Thomas

Thanks for your input. I’d like to do it without spending any money. In other words ‘FREE’ so if you could recommend a free product that would be great.

Hi Lee,

haaaa - that’s what I expected. Some time ago I was a big recommender of ECWID cause it offered a unique integration into Freeway and even a free account up to 100 products (if I remember correctly).

Unfortunately they restricted the Free to unbelievable 10 products so not worth to further recommend.

Since this big changes I know that I have to review my strategy again and am therefor blank (gosh) so no bigger help here.

What is your provider offering?

Cheers

Thomas

Stiva Cart is only $79 and is pretty easy to operate. I use it on one of my sites and it’s stable and easy to use.

Hi

I’ve used some of phpjabbers scripts before. Not bad but I would prefer if I didn’t have to pay for it.

Has anybody ever used ‘PrestaShop’ shopping cart.

regards

Lee
