Hello all, bear with me I’m very new to this software.Had the trial for nearly a month and just bought the full version.
So far for a beginner I seem to have done okay, but I’ve hit a wall. I have a couple of showcase galleries on my trial site.
They were both working fine locally on three browsers and when I uploaded the site to a sandbox on a friend’s server they were working there too. All good so far.
I then worked on some other unrelated parts of the site and today uploaded again.
Everything is fine except the showcase galleries.
Rather than a grid of thumbnails I get a single column running down the page and although I get a mouse pointer change indicating they’re vaguely alive they don’t load any enlargements when clicked.
The rest of the site is fine and these showcase galleries still work fine when I test them locally on my browser.
I’ve even started from scratch and remade the showcase galleries all to no avail. I’m baffled.all very frustrating since the first time I uploaded they worked like a dream.
Sorry I can’t be more technical in my description but does this problem ring any bells with anyone?

How are you uploading - and can you post a link to your example.
Without being able to read the code behind your page it is difficult to say what is going wrong but it sounds a bit like a missing support file or 2

Thanks for replying David,as it happens I’ve just,at two in the morning,resolved the problem. I half understand why.
It seems somehow to have been something to do with the upload. I couldn’t get the files to upload to the right folder.
I’m using Freeway’s uploader but viewing the the files on the server using Fetch.
They weren’t uploading correctly so I was moving them around by hand in the fetch window.
I’ve resolved the Freeway upload to the correct folder now so it overwrites altered files in the way I’m assuming it’s supposed to.It works anyway! Why is it always the last thing you try eh?
Is there a way to view folders on a server through Freeway itself? Fetch is fine,but just wondering.

No - but as long as you have the initial upload path set in FW correctly it should just work.
FW is very good at managing what files have changed and what requires to be uploaded as a result.
That is why I asked how you are uploading as it is very easy to miss stuff if you are using an FTP app like Fetch etc.

That’s what I expected it to do, but initially when I set the path, the upload would either be rejected or upload the files outside the public_html folder, hence why I was shifting stuff around by hand.
I don’t know,I am a complete novice at this after all,but somewhere between a reboot and upgrading to a full version of Pro from the trial version yesterday it seems to have resolved itself.
Mind you, if I hadn’t had the problem I wouldn’t have spotted the 30% off offer on Pro! Once I’d added the 10% prom code as well I was stoked!

Yes - often you have to specify the public_html folder in your directory path
ie server: www.yoursite.com
directory: /public_html/
or http_docs
or something similar depending on your servers settings.
