[Pro] Showcase Gallery Messing Up

I’m starting a new thread for this because it doesn’t seem to have to do the Spawn New Window.

Click on VIEW OUR GALLERY link on this page in the right column:

http://k923.net/pet-photography.html

The gallery is kind of and endless bunch of images. It’s supposed t be 20 in 5 columns and 4 rows.

Any idea why it’s adding images?

Just seems to be a duplicate to me ie 40 instead of 20.

Imported twice or duplicate gallery files?

Nope. The master is fine, but something happens to the actual page at some point.’

Driving me nuts!

Is the showcase on the Master?

Yes.

There appears to be 2 calls to the JavaScript in the head of the page.

Do you have the action on the Master and the Page?

Look in the item list in Page view to see if there are 2 on top of each other.

No, there isn’t.

I re-imported it into the page and it seems OK. But, it did last time, too, and suddenly t seems to “go bad”.

I’m uploading (hopefully) a fixed version, so you won’t see the error anymore.

I’m going out for a while, so if you continue to try to figure this out and you don’t hear from me, I’m not ignoring you!

Thanks…

There is certainly only one call for the JS now.

I noticed while uploaded the site again (through Transmit) that there were a few “(name)_fwShowcase.css” files up there. Some with slightly different names. Maybe that was the problem?

Not sure how that happened. I’ve set it up to upload through Freeway now to hopefully avoid that problem.

That is always going to be a problem when uploading manually unless you upload the entire contents of your site folder.

But a duplicate CSS file isn’t going to do it - but a duplicate of something else might

That’s what I usually do. Open the Site Folder and drag everything to the Transmit window.

Yeah, there might have been other duplicate items up there. Should be all clean now.

Yes but unless you delete everything on the server first then you are likely to get plenty left behind/duplicated with slightly different names.

Using the Sync feature in Transmit would be the way to go to stop this.

But FW does an exceptional job of this for you with no hassle.

I manually deleted everything (at least I thought I did).

But, yes, I’ve set it up through FW now and used that for my last upload.

Never used the sync feature. I probably should. I will use Transmit for uploading client progress sites and the synce feature would be handy.
