[Pro] Showcase help needed

I downloaded a trial version of freeway 5.5 and I am too stupid to figure out how showcase works. (do I have to download something else?) I want to drag and drop my jpgs and not use an iphoto album. If somebody has the patience to tell me step by step what to do I would greatly appreciate it. I couldn’t find any helpful link about it. Thank you!

Hi Nina,
Welcome to Freeway! The Freeway 5.5 page in the tour section of the web site has links to the What’s New in 5.5 PDF as well as the overview video for Showcase;
http://www.softpress.com/tour/new-in-freeway-55/
Both should give you a pretty good idea of how the Showcase application and Action work hand in hand to create and add image galleries and slideshows yo your web sites.

If you get stuck some back and post again.
All the best,
Tim.

What is the ‘Showcase Application’? I’ve googled it & got nothing that makes any sense. The video you refer to skips to ‘open your showcase browser’ with nary a hint of how to do this. I know I’m a bit thick but this is driving me doolally. Please help someone?

Cheers

Thanks Tim! Dick is right. I can’t find the showcase application anywhere. How do you open it?

If you have 5.5, it’s part of the download; it’s a separate
application besides Freeway.

But there is nothing in my application folder called showcase. Could it be that it is not part of the trial version?

Nope - me as well. Is it a separate download??

Will pursue this further on the Softpress site, but not impressed. I always keep software downloads in whole folders if they come in one, but mine certainly didn’t.

I just sent this email to Softpress Support:

Like a few other posters to the Freewaytalk list, I’m very confused about Showcase. Walter says it comes in a separate folder with the download, but I don’t recall getting any folder with my download; if there was I would have kept it.
Pretty sure I only got the app installer, nothing else.

Can you advise/help?

If you download the trial you get a dmg file called Freeway 5.5 Pro Trial

When you open that dmg you see the following

dmg

The Showcase app will need to be dragged into your Applications folder along with the FW app

All sorted!

I re-downloaded the upgrade & it came in the folder. Should work for you too Nina.
