some very basic questions regarding showcase slideshows without thumbnails:
what controls the size of the image on the slideshow: the size of the image proper or the size of the page in FW where you use the showcase action?
how can I make it cover the slideshow cover the whole screen while it is showing?

There is a slider at the bottom right of the Showcase window that can adjust the Thumbnail size or the Large Image size depending which you have selected

You cant because you have no way of knowing the viewers screen size when you create the Showcase slideshow
Alternatively there is an action - Background Supersizer - that has a slideshow option.
