I am having showcase trouble. The larger images will not adjust no matter what I do with SC inspector. I even threw away old site folder resources to clear the deck.
When i first made the gallery I was able to adjust sizes but not now

just with your description it’s hard to give the correct advices cause I do not know what you’re actually doing out there.
And through increasing age I sometimes can’t remember all of my yesterdays steps proper - but as far as I can:
The key is to prepare your large images to what you want to have. In the SC inspector you’ll then set the width to your container (div) width.
That’s what I did in this very basic example here:

I wanted to remove the thumbnails and only have large images - so finally all the images adjusted as expected.
You need a really good app to size and resize images? I have one that saved my life (and time) dramatically - have a look on:
