I am working on a gallery using showcase. I am using a thumbnail gallery. But I am trying to have images tightly together because they are ties. But the cells are so wide and I have no control over them , not that I can see. I am not using any borders. and I created the images very narrow to account for space but that did not work, the cell is still square and large
In Showcase click on View Inspector and set the thumbnail slider to the size you want. This size will translate when you export your slideshow to Freeway.
The free action Showcase Extras seems to give more options for configuring your slideshow as well.
Yes I do know about the inspector but I would like the thumbs to be bigger which makes the cell bigger. I do not want tiny thumbs
the space I am talking about is the space on left and right of thumb. Even with a smaller size cell, its still a lot of space…

I tried your code…I was able to have images lined up by setting the spacing to 0 in action, but I put your markup in anyway.
I will post a page to show you what I am talking about
I would like to get rid of the space inside the container cell. My images are vertical and narrow and there is so much space around.
