I’m a bit lost about how to use it. There is no help. It is scarcely mentioned in the guide/reference.

I made a slideshow and exported the FWP, getting a dot fwgallery file. Now what does one do with that please?

insert → action-item → showcase. Choose there the .fwgallery file and find some more settings, done.
