[Pro] Simplest CMS path

There are tons of threads on this and many avenues to take however what I’m looking for primarily is the most dead simple (end user) UI possible, comprised of just one or two predetermined scrolling text fields which can be edited by anyone with the login info.

I’m looking to avoid anything that exposes the user to touch any elements of page design or “blocks” etc. Additionally, my FW level is hobbyist, not advanced, but I manage to get around OK.

Optional - Secondarily - an expandable photo gallery where users could upload/contribute would be great - however I won’t even offer it if it’s complicated to use - or if the users would be forced to resize images to certain specifications before uploading. That would be asking way too much of them. The demographic for this is mostly seniors so merely uploading images may even seem sufficiently complex.

WebYep and Unify look most close to what I’m seeking, but thought I would ask for other’s suggestions… thanks in advance for ideas!

Hi Karen,

pretty sure that other suggestions will be Perch and Pulse (sooner or later).

Personally I think that WebYep could do the game (it has both features requested).

A word to UNIFY (after digging deep in my mind):

It looked cool, pretty straight forwarded but after playing a little bit with it I had to recognize, that each alteration on your original document (Freeway) will overwrite all “CMS” content made to this point. I judged this as disastrous result and a simple no-go. Maybe they changed this now - worth to find out before minding further with it.

Cheers

Thomas

Another vote for Pulse - especially if that is all you want it to do. (Not that it is not capable of much much more)

2 lines of code in a FW page and you will be off.

Walter Davis has a new cms that isn’t quite released yet, that is Freeway friendly. Can’t speak for or against because it is still unreleased top secret stuff. But you should certainly sign up to check it out when it launches.

Thanks cosjr - Inlay sounds quite interesting, maybe perfect, so I signed up. Meanwhile I’ll do some experimentation with the others before offering the feature to the site users.
