[Pro] Single picture slideshow

I have a Home page that I have built, but would like to put a row of photos, that will change, like a single picture slideshow
I have imported 4 pictures into graphic boxes, and then aligned them to test it, then apply a Random image sequence, but I seem to be loosing other pictures on that Home page.

I am putting these graphic inserts within a text area, as I wanted to draw a boundary to page and wanted to give it a seperate colour, I dont know if this is the problem

Any advise on how to achieve these single pictures sideshows would be great

Hi David,

you might want to have a closer look to showcase? It gives you all, to make stunning things. An example I did:

(you need to wait about 5 or 7 sec.)

Cheers

Hi David,

could you point me to an example that will finally show your needs? Actually I stuck in your basic idea of having a “single image slideshow”.

The example page is just one of a lots and not a real live page but thanks anyway.

Cheers

Hi Thomas,

if you have a look at the site I am trying to put together www.utvdirect.co.uk, you will see on the home page, that there are 4 pictures on the bottom, I just put them in to show what I want to achieve so they are all the same, but when finished the 4 will be differant makes models.

Each picture will have a heading, so for example picture 1 is Kawasaki, there are 6 models of Kawasaki so I want the picture to change every 5 seconds to the next model,

Basically similar to how your screen changes, but instead of 1 big picture, it will 4 small individual pictures that will change.

The only example that I can think is www.toro.com/en-gb/Pages/default.aspx

Theres is a larger picture, but idea is the same

Hi David,

still unsure if I probably got you right and still not sure if this is a recommendable way but it could be worth to think about it:

The key could be to have in total as much pages as manufacturer are needed. Your small images would be the thumbs to call each of this pages.

I’d build a master page containing all necessary elements:

  1. A huge area on top for the slideshow
  2. the smaller images below

Apply the showcase action to the upper area and the images and descriptions to the smaller ones.

Then build the children as much as needed.

Go back to the master and link each image to it’s manufacturer child.

Build in total the necessary slideshows and apply one (including the settings) to the master.

Finally change the different ones in the child-pages.

So the user is clicking a “thumb” will be thrown to the eg. Kawasaki page, from there can get to the bombardier and so on.

Really do not know if it matches but I think I’d do this way.

Would it make sense?

Cheers

Glad you found a suitable solution.

I am going to be picky about something though.

Since when did the plural of UTV have an apostrophe in it ‘UTV’s’ ?

You don’t have Golf Buggy’s as a menu option so why UTV’s?

Pet hate rant over!
