[Pro] Site critique before launch

Hi,

Just a quick one - if anyone’s got a few mins I’d really appreciate their view on a site I’ve built for a client, before launching. There’s no metatags in there yet and it needs a bit of a tidy, plus a few photo changes to reduce duplication, but it’s about there. I know the accordion plays up in IE7 but not losing sleep over it.

Site is: http://www.mindful-taichi.co.uk/test.html

Many thanks guys.

Neil.

Neil,

The only thing that comes to mind is that you might want to enlarge the text, as it seems that you are marketing to older people who may not retain the best eyesight.

Otherwise, it looks great!

Hi Caleb,

Many thanks for your message. That was actually a point the client raised as well. I increased body copy from 11pt on a previous visual to 13 for this visual, but will see what they say. Maybe bigger is the way to go, I think you’re right!

Thanks again for looking at it, really appreciated.

Neil.

The other thing you may want to consider is using the RPL action.

Currently if you do increase the text size (View>Zoom Text Only) the text overflows the graphics.

But otherwise it looks good.

Hi David,

Thanks for looking at the site for me. I’ve given the RPL action a go, but it destroys my layout completely. I guess I need to go back to the drawing board to fully understand how the action works.

Cheers,

Neil.

It is likely that the Carousel will need the Remove from RPL action applied to it.

Gave that a try and still breaks the layout up. Also tried adjusting the slider in the action in increments of 10 but no real improvement. I guess I’ll have to leave it.

I should be mindful of getting actions like that working during the design process next time I guess, It’s proving too much work to try and apply it now.

Thanks for looking at the site though, it’s appreciated.

Cheers,

Neil.
