[Pro] Site translation

I am doing a site that I need to be read in several languages. Google has “Website Translator” which is free and is a downloadable plug in. Does freeway have an action to take make this work?

Thanks.

No - this doesn’t work on a static page - it works as an online tool and requires that your browser supports it.

The only real way to do this is to have multiple pages with alternate language content if you want to guarantee the quality of translation.

I have a client who uses “google translate” on their static blog and it seems to work very well there. The blog was developed in wordpress.

Thanks for your advice.

I like that Jef - easy to implement in FW, powered by Google’s API and not too obtrusive with the option to use your own image. Nice.

Insert>Markup Item - paste in the translateth code. OK the dialogue box and resize and position the markup item where you want it to appear on your FW page.

Note that your site will need to contain html text for this to work effectively. Graphic text will be untranslatable.
