[Pro] Size of new window - Help!

Hello everyone,

I’m in the midst of “test-driving” Freeway 5 Pro for our office’s website. Everything is going well so far, but I’ve found a problem that has stumped me. (not difficult - I’m new to web design)

I’m trying to have a link on our page open another internal page in a new window (no problem so far), but I’d like the new window to be a particular size.

I’ve read previous comments about using “Spawn New Window”, so I have downloaded and installed it and it appears as an action in my list.

I selected my link, applied SNW, published, and tried it out (Mac OSX 10.5, Safari 4). Link works but the window is always the same size as the “main” window.
I don’t know anything about the interesting terminology like “slave chain”, etc at the bottom of the window. All I want is the new window to open at a particular size.

Does anyone have advice for a novice on this?
I apologize if this is obvious - I’m not sure what things from previous forum discussions for older versions apply to Freeway 5.

I think you might want to try the “Text Link to New Window” action. Insert ->Action Item-> Text link to new window.
The same thing can be accomplished with graphic, by using “link to new window”.

Hi Rich,

That sounds good, but it wasn’t installed with Freeway 5 (trial) by default and I’ve looked for it at ActionsForge and it isn’t listed there. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

Not sure where to find it. Maybe you should post a new topic with the subject something link, “Where can I find ‘text link to new window’ action” . One of the real pros should sort it out for you.
