Hi Richard,
I’ve an Action I wrote for a site that never happened a few months ago that pretty much does what you want. You can see an example of it here on the right hand side of the screen; http://www.freewayactions.com/test/plymouth/
As you’ll see from the attached screen grab the tab can be animated using CSS or jQuery (I’ve yet to add Prototype to the Action). I had planned on expanding the Action so you could add your own content to the sliding panels rather than just having the Facebook content but I ran out of time to get this completed.
If you wanted to get a copy of the Action prior to these changes going in I could let you have it as it stands for $10.00.
If you are interested please let me know.
Regards,
Tim.

Thanks Simon. I was hoping for an action that didn’t involve lots coding.
I have a Rapid Weaver Stack called Sliding Panel that does it very simply:
Thanks - that looks perfect! Is it possible to also fix it to the left side? Also do you still plan on expanding it as I’m sure there would be interest in it.
Hi Richard,
You can currently ‘stick’ the tab to either the left or the right of the screen. The Action automatically detects which one is closer and snaps the label to that side. As time permits I’m hoping to add top and bottom options as well although I’ve a few pressing projects to clear out of the way first.
Regards,
Tim.

Have just been reading thread and would be interested in buying a copy of your action if possible. Would it work on a page with a showcase slideshow on?
