I’m trying to re-create my wife’s website in Freeway 5.4.3 (originally made in iWeb 3.0.4).
In iWeb there is a formatting option for “small caps”; I’m looking for the equivalent in Freeway. Am I just not seeing something?
(Have peeked under the hood (bonnet) in Safari and found “font-variant: small-caps:” in the paragraph style HTML of the lines in question, but just looking at that stuff makes me nervous.)
It’s not in the inspector palette, but you can create a new style using the
Style Editor ( toggle the Styles palette gear > Edit Styles ) and select
Case from the Character dropdown. Small Caps is one option.

I’ve done as you suggested and created a new style using “small caps” but not having success with it. Seems to insist on rendering as all caps, when small caps have been specified. (I’ve made sure that I’m starting with un-formatted text.)
I thought for a moment that the problem was that I was working with graphic text, but it’s the same situation in HTML text as well. Also appears to be not specific to the font I’m using.
Are you looking at it in preview mode? Freeway Pro renders the working text
as all caps, but in preview and browser view it will be small caps.

Hmm. No, I’m looking in Preview mode, also in browser (cleaning Safari cache each time before viewing). Now I also can’t invoke Uppercase or Capitalize.
I don’t know what to say, Karl… perhaps something else is conflicting with
your style, or perhaps it is some defect of your older version of Freeway
Pro that was fixed in the current version. I have no issues making small
caps.
