I am realizing it may just be on specific web pages that use a specific action. I made a change to another page and no problem uploading or previewing.
I am trying to figure out what is wrong with this action that inserts the current date and time.
I figured it out. I have 4 pages all using the LAST MODIFIED PRO action. I have used this action over 1 year with no problem. Now all pages with this action give the time out error.
Anyone advise what to do? Can an action get corrupt?
You may try removing this Action everywhere it exists in your site, publishing once (you don’t have to upload, just publish) and then add the Action back. Try it on one page first, publish and make sure it works, then apply it back to the other pages. No, Actions don’t usually go “bad”. If you had disabled AppleScript for Actions in the general preferences, that would throw a different error, I think. Just removing the Action, clearing the Actions cache (by publishing without that Action applied) and re-applying it should shake whatever this is loose.

I did remove it and then added it back in new. Not sure I published between, but things seem fixed now. If it happens again in the future, I will remove, publish, then add.
TIm was kind enough to also get back to me with similar advice.
