What I want to do is to have the social media links in the header , on the right side.
I want the top to look like this:

- Just insert the first div to be the social-link container, have the links aligned right, you might want to apply a max-width.
- Insert the second div to be the nav-container, containing the listed menu-items

Are you working off of a template? There may be other forces at work in there which cause this.
