[Pro] Sound FX and iPhone OS

I have added a Sound FX element that plays an MP3 file. This works as expected in all the Mac browsers I have tried. However, it fails on the iPhone & iPad with the current version of the iPhone OS; no sound at all is generated, although the Sound FX area does highlight in response to a touch. Is this a known limitation of Sound.play? Or is there some work around?

The MP3 file plays correctly from other iPhone apps.

Yes, this is a known problem, and I’m not sure how you would go about
fixing it except through “browser sniffing” to replace the call to the
function with a bare link to the file. If you put a regular link to
the file on the same page, labeled “For iPhone/iPad/iPod touch”, that
would be a temporary work-around.
