[Pro] Sound FX error

There appears to be a conflict between the old Sound FX and new Showcase actions. I have a site that uses the Sound FX action and works fine under FW v5.4.2. Editing the same site using FW v5.5, but adding the Showcase Action, produced the following three error messages when trying to “Preview in Browser”.

[1]
JavaScript Error
A Freeway Action is attempting to use Applescript which is currently disabled. You can enable this in the _ _ _ (can’t read the rest)

[2]
Could not complete the ‘Publish Site’ command because a JavaScript error occurred in a Freeway Action. If you republish your site, the action will be ignored.

ACTION HAS JavaScript ERROR. The following Actions will be ignored as they have a known JavaScript Error.
Action: “Sound FX”, Page: “Jackson Creek Jaguars”.

=== Can the two actions be used within the same site under FW v5.5? Here is the v5.4.2 URL.

Have you gone into the FW preferences and enabled Applescript in actions

Try that first and see if that makes the other errors go away

David,

Your suggestion to enable AppleScript in FW preferences was the solution. I have to wonder if the hidden portion of the first error message I received (JavaScript error) indicated that?

Thanks so much for your help.

Yes! More than likely - it was what gave me the clue.

Glad to be of help.
