[Pro] Space between h1 and subtitle?

How do I adjust the spacing between an h1 and subtitle style?

Edit the style, change Space After on the H1 and Space Before on the subtitle. They both default to 1em (1x the width of a capital M in the style chosen). Use pixel values for the greatest control.

Thanks Walter. That worked perfect, but for some reason the Space Before option seems a lot more sensitive. In other words I have to add a lot more pixels before I get the desired results.

Can you post a link with some examples side-by-side? It would be interesting to see that where I could use Safari’s Web Inspector on it.

Unfortunately, I can’t right now, but I will sometime this week and let you know.

Remember that header tags, paragraph tags, these items have ‘space before’
and ‘space after’ characteristics. In css, this is the margin attribute
of text. Removing the margin-bottom (space after) from your header still
leaves the margin-top (space before) of the next line of type following it.

Freeway takes some liberties with text margins applied in the style editor,
so if you really mean a specific amount, like zero (0) then use the
Extended interface to set those values. Freeway seems good at using the
extended value for output, while it’s own interface is used for internal
display.

Moreover, if you have applied ‘leading’ (css: line-height) that can
also affect vertical text spacing.
