[Pro] Spawn New Window - for non-graphic items?

Hi,
Is it possible to link from a text / word with Spawn New Window - or do I have first to convert the word into a graphic item?

Many Actions that you can apply to a graphic also have a “Text” method as well. Freeway won’t let you apply an Action to a run of selected text, so you have to use the Action interface to add the text as well as the behavior.

Spawn New Window does offer this, but if you need to check in the future for another Action, here’s how you would find it: Double-click into the text box where you want your link to appear, then look in the Insert / Action Item menu item sub-list for the Action you’re trying to insert.

When you choose your Action from that list, you will see a little yellow lozenge floating in the text box. Click once on it, and look in the Actions palette. There will be a text field control where you can add the word or words to become the visible link text, and the other controls that you are familiar with from the normal graphic item form of the Action.

If you need to style the link text generated by this Action, remember to add (at least) one space before and after the item itself, and then select the entire “sandwich” of space-action-space before applying any text styles with the Inspector. You can also leave the link unstyled, then use the Style tab Links section to set the default link styles to match your desired appearance.
