Just to preface, I am a newbie. I am learning Freeway, and thanks to folks like Delta Dave, I’m moving forward. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
Question: Is there an easy way, within Freeway, to insert special characters (i.e. registered, copyright, trademark, etc.)?

You should just be able to insert them using the normal keyboard shortcut or using ® © Keyboard viewer.
Your page should be set to Automatic Encoding but if you are having problems switch to UTF8 - 3rd Tab with nothing selected on the page, near the bottom there is an Encoding type picker.

When I attempted to use another program, you had to select the special character from a drop down and then a sub drop down.
Thank you again for your most generous assistance, and for making my Freeway experience that much better.
