Not exactly FW specific, but I need to type a special character, but I can’t figure out how to do it. It’s similar to é, but I need it with the character “s” underneath. Every time I try it won’t put the s under the dash. It’s someone’s name, so it’s kinda important. Any ideas? FYI, I’m using Trebuchet if that matters.
Feels like a silly question, but I’m flummoxed!
Thanks.
not sure how you’d get this character from an english keyboard, but if you change your keyboard layout to Polish you can enter Shift-, (that’s < on an english keyboard) and you should get the ś character - assuming it’s coded in the font
Śśśśś!!! Thanks so much David! I never would have figured that one out on my own!
To avoid having to alter your keyboard language settings, you can go to OS X’s ‘Settings’ and then the ‘Keyboard’ setting, then the ‘Keyboard’ tab in that setting, and tick the box that says ‘Show Keyboard & Character Viewers in menu bar’. Then, you’ll get an icon in your menu bar which gives you access to an item called ‘Show Character Viewer’; that will open the ‘Character Viewer’ window, where you can choose any character that’s in the font you’re using, and drag it into your document.
